About the Event
In this Ashtanga Yoga course, I will lead you through the full sequence of the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga, to experience the traditional flow, as developed by K. Pattabhi Jois, followed by a short meditation and pranayama (breathing techniques). The aim is to wake up the fire inside you, through the dynamic repetition of the sun salutation and other fixed sequences of yoga asanas (postures), aimed at strengthening your muscles, aligning the spine and increasing flexibility. We will focus particularly on our Ujjayi breath, also called „the ocean breath“, which is connecting the different postures together and at the same time it represents the link between body and mind. Be ready to sweat and reconnect to yourself! We will open and close the session with traditional mantras sung in Sanskrit.
